Refund Policy

This policy applies to orders placed on lariette.ro and supplements the Terms and Conditions. In case of any inconsistency, this Return & Refund Policy prevails for matters related to returns and refunds.


1) Which products are eligible for return

Eligible (14-day right of withdrawal)

  • In-stock products (standard sizes);

  • Made-to-order products (standard sizes) — produced in standard sizing, without personalization based on the customer’s measurements.

Not eligible (no right of withdrawal)

  • Personalized products (custom sizes) — made according to the customer’s measurements/specifications (Article 16(c), Romanian Government Emergency Ordinance (GEO) No. 34/2014).


2) How to initiate a return (right of withdrawal)

Within 14 days of receiving your parcel, send us a message by email / WhatsApp / phone:

After we confirm, ship the product back within a maximum of 14 days from your notification, following the instructions in section 6.


3) What we refund

Always

  • The product price.

Outbound delivery to the customer

  • We refund the cost of “standard delivery” (the cheapest delivery option shown at checkout for the completed address).

Not refunded

  • Any extra fee paid for Express Delivery 2–4 days and/or the Urgent 6–9 days option.


4) Size exchange / Alterations

1× free size exchange (requested within 2 days)

Applicable to in-stock (standard sizes) and made-to-order (standard sizes) products, provided the desired size is available.

  • The exchange must be requested within 2 days of delivery.

  • The product must be only tried on, with all tags intact.

Personalized products (custom sizes)

  • Alterations are available for a fee, depending on the model complexity (we provide a quote in advance).


5) Diminution in value (condition of returned items)

For returned items with strong odors (sweat/perfume), dirt, pet hair, stains, makeup marks, damage, or signs of wear (e.g., worn to an event) that make the item unsuitable to be resold as “new”, we may apply a diminution in value of up to 100%.

  • The assessment is objective and supported by photos and a findings note, which will be communicated beforeissuing the refund.

  • If you do not agree with the proposed deduction, we will ship the product back to you at your expense (without refunding the price).

  • This does not affect the existence of the right of withdrawal; it reflects the legal liability for using the product beyond what is necessary to try it on.


6) How to pack and where to send your return

Pack the product securely (ideally in the original packaging) and include your order number inside the parcel.

Do NOT send to post offices, lockers, or pick-up points; do NOT send with cash on delivery (COD).

International returns: any customs duties/taxes related to the return are borne by the customer; we do not accept parcels with charges payable on delivery.


7) Invoice and documents

  • The invoice is issued automatically via Oblio and sent to the email address provided at checkout (please check Spam/Junk as well).

  • If the email address entered was incorrect or missing, you will not receive confirmations/invoice; contact us for re-sending/clarifications.


8) Who bears the return shipping cost

As a rule, the return shipping cost (shipping the product back to us) is borne by the customer.


9) Refund timeframes and payment method

  • We refund within 14 days from the day we receive the returned item or from the day we receive proof of shipment (we may postpone until the physical receipt of the return).

  • Refunds are made via the same payment method used for the purchase (where technically possible).


10) Delivery times and shipping options (summary)

  • In stock (standard sizes): Express Delivery 2–4 days (orders placed by 12:00 EET/EEST).

  • Made to order (standard sizes): Standard 9–20 days (free shipping) or Urgent 6–9 days (+50 lei).

  • Personalized (custom sizes): Standard 9–20 days (free shipping) or Urgent 6–9 days (+50 lei).


11) Non-conforming / defective products (legal guarantee)

If you receive a non-conforming product, notify us immediately and provide clear evidence (photos/description). Prompt reporting helps us resolve the issue quickly.

Romanian GEO No. 140/2021 applies (transposing Directive (EU) 2019/771):

  • 12-month presumption: defects appearing within the first 12 months are presumed to have existed at delivery (unless incompatible with the nature of the goods).

  • Remedies: repair/replacement; if not possible or disproportionate, a price reduction or contract termination.


12) Event Date Guarantee (optional)

For made-to-order and personalized orders, where available, we confirm in writing a delivery deadline (Standard/Urgent).

Exclusions: force majeure; late/incorrect measurements or information; inability to contact the customer; and other causes not attributable to us. Proof of event date may be an invitation/contract/confirmation or another reasonable document.


13) FAQ (short)

  • Can I return personalized products? No; they are legally exempt (Article 16(c), GEO No. 34/2014).

  • Do you refund outbound shipping? Yes, but only the “standard delivery” cost. Express/Urgent surcharges are not refunded.

  • Who pays for return shipping? Usually the customer. We do not accept COD returns.

  • I wore the dress to an event—can I return it? No; a diminution of value up to 100% may apply (item not resalable as “new”).

  • When will I receive my money back? Up to 14 days after we receive the return or proof of shipment (we may postpone until receipt).

  • How does the free exchange work? One free exchange requested within 2 days of delivery for in-stock and made-to-order standard sizes, if the desired size is available; personalized items can be altered for a fee.
